
Solmeter Terms of Use
Welcome to Solmeter! These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the
Solmeter application and its services. By accessing or using Solmeter,
you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms.
Please read them carefully.
1. General Information
- Name of App: Solmeter
- Purpose: Solmeter is designed to measure the potential energy savings from solar panel and battery installations at your home, including heating, cooling loads, and electric vehicle consumption.
- Platform: Solmeter is available as a web application.
- Service Type: Solmeter is currently a free service. Future iterations may include paid features related to pricing analysis.
2. User Data and Privacy
- Data Collection: Solmeter collects the following user data: email, address, and square meters (sqm) of the house.
- Data Handling: User data is securely stored in the cloud, managed by Amazon Web Services (AWS). We do not share user data with third parties.
- Privacy Policy: For detailed information about how we protect and use your data, please refer to our separate Privacy Policy.
3. Access and Use of Services
3.1 Access to Services
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Solmeter grants you a non-exclusive, non-sublicensable, non-transferable limited license to access and use the Solmeter services via our web platform.
3.2 Restrictions
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Solmeter application.
- Remove any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices.
- Use Solmeter for any unlawful purpose or outside the scope of intended use.
4. Data and Ownership
4.1 Security Procedures
Solmeter employs commercially reasonable security procedures to protect user data. Users should take reasonable efforts to prevent unauthorized access to their accounts and immediately notify Solmeter of any unauthorized use.
4.2 User Ownership of Data
As between the parties, you retain ownership of your data. You represent and warrant that you have the right to provide the data used within the Solmeter platform.
4.3 Data Input and Processing
Solmeter does not require any specific data from you and does not monitor your data content. You are responsible for obtaining any necessary consents and complying with applicable privacy laws.
5. Intellectual Property
- Ownership: Solmeter and its content, features, and functionality are owned by Solmeter. All rights not expressly granted are reserved by Solmeter.
- Feedback: By providing feedback or suggestions to Solmeter, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use such feedback in any manner.
6. Modifications and Termination
6.1 Modifications
Solmeter reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes.
6.2 Termination
Solmeter may terminate user access to the app at any time for any reason. For future paid versions, users will receive a two-month advanced notice before termination.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Solmeter is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of the app. Solmeter’s total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the past twelve months, if applicable.
8. Confidentiality
Each party agrees to keep the other party's confidential information confidential and not use or disclose it except as permitted by these Terms or required by law.
9. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms will be resolved in court under applicable law.
